HNT Medical's Proctology Procedure Chair is a 6-piece treatment table designed specifically for patient positioning during the diagnosis and treatment of the anus, rectum, and sigmoid colon. The PCT chair is power adjustable in height and angle and uses a hand control for easy patient positioning. Whether used during the diagnoses phase or for patient positioning during minor surgeries, the Proctology Procedure Chair keeps the patient safe from unintended contact with bacteria deposits and petri dish growths through unique filtering cushions.

Purpose

The Proctology Procedure Chair is specifically designed for use by proctologists during diagnoses, general procedures, and minor surgeries involving the anus, rectum, and sigmoid colon. By providing comfortable patient positioning, conditions such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulas, constipation, fecal incontinence, rectal prolapse, imperforate anus, Crohn's disease, colorectal cancer, anal cancer, and anus injuries can be treated. Optional breathing and filtering cushions ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients by preventing unintended deposits of bacteria and petri dish growths from contact with multiple patients.

Intended Use

Although the Proctology Procedure Chair can be used to support the patient during general examinations, its primary use is intended for general proctology examinations and minor procedures. Allowing for examinations in the lying, knee-breast, and gynecological positions, the Proctology Procedure Chair can help place the patient in a wide range of positions. Powered motors adjust the height, back segment angle, and footrest angle, and can be used to place the patient in a comfortable Trendelenburg position, with the feet above the heart. The PCT chair includes a variety of extras such as plush seating, optional foot controls, and an extra weight capacity of 650 lbs. These features ensure that a variety of circumstances are able to be addressed during the proctology exam.

A provided hand control adjusts the backrest, leg rest, and height of the 6-piece PCT chair. An optional patient and controller set attached to the chair's leg rest allows for quick and accessible access and gives extra convenience for practitioner positioning. The table height adjusts from 19" to 27", while the backrest adjusts to a 71-degree angle and the leg rest adjusts from 0 to 90 degrees. In addition to these power-adjustable features, several manual adjustments are also available. For example, the headrest uses a multi-adjustable clamp that tightens the headrest to the desired position.
